Happy New Year to all UM and Ex-UM members.

Hope the new year 2008 will be a FANTASTIC one for each and everyone of you.

Carlsberg Open 2008 - Schedule

As at the date and time of this post, the Games Schedule is still not out yet.

The competition is scheduled to start on 5th January 2008. When, the first games for UM and Ex-UM will be will, of course, only be known when the schedule is out.

In the meantime, please note that there will NOT be any opening ceremony on 5th January 2008. The games will start first and an opening ceremony (if any) will be held late January 2008.

Next Practice

We are not sure whether we can get Gym 2 this Wednesday 2/1/2008 for UM basketball practice. We may only know on Wednesday itself.

I will post and sms as soon as we know for sure.

Ex-UM players are (as always) welcomed to continue to join in and attend UM's practices. However, Wednesday night practices will, starting January 2008, be full, formal practice (drills etc.)

Friendly with ISKL

Friendly match against ISKL basketball team on 12th January 2008, Saturday, 2pm is confirmed.

I will probably go directly from work. Please make arrangements to go to ISKL by 1:15pm.

Next Practice

We may be able to get Gym 2 opened tonight.

Please go to Gym 2 first. If it is not opened, please proceed to 4th College.

Friendly with ISKL

ISKL (Ampang Campus) would like to play a friendly match with UM on 12th January 2008, Saturday, in the afternoon. Since I work half day on Saturday mornings, I am trying to fix the game for 2pm.

Current (2007/2008) UM Boys' Team Members please confirm (by adding comments to this post) whether you can attend or not.

Next Practice

Next Ex-UM/UM combined practice is as follows:

Day : Wednesday night
Date : 26 Dec 2007
Time : 8-10:45pm
Venue : UM, 4th College Outdoor Court.

Unfortunately, the indoor Court at Gym 2 is not available next week.
Also, 4th College's basketball court is usually covered with (a LOT) of leaves, so bring brooms and be prepared to sweep.

Carlsberg Open 2008 - Info

Pursuant to the Manager's meeting on 13/12/2008, the teams taking part in the competiton have been grouped as follows:

Group A : Sunday, TMT, Court-9, Survival, Carlsberg.
Group B : Lian Yew, Ex-UM, LiParis, Puchong BA, Xieli.
Group C : UM ,TDRA, Lian Yew B, CSK, TABC
Gourp D : Dynamic, SST Team, Sword, YSL, Garden Home.

Top 2 team from each group advances to the 2nd round.
All 8 teams are then divided into 2 groups of 4.
Top 2 teams advance to Semi-finals.
