UM v UIAM Friendly

A few weeks ago, UM played a friendly match against UIAM. UIAM had only just started their practice season and they were clearly "not ready". We can be sure they will be a much different team by the time MASUM rolls around. However, for the friendly match, they were clearly not ready and UM won easily.

However, UM didn't play a perfect or even near perfect game either. There were many unforced turnovers with a total 22 TO's, that is way too high. UM juniors too, are clearly still not ready and still have much work to do before they are "game ready". Nonetheless, the juniors continue to show improvement and potential.

As Coach Pin was trying to get juniors and bench players more playing time, Ching played fewer minutes than he usually does and had (by his standards) a "sub-par" game. Still, a "sub-par" game for our Captain translates to a double-double (11 pts, 12 rebounds, with 5 steals, 4 blocks and zero TO). Consequently, Ching continue to perform at high efficiency rates (32!). The player that played exceptionally well was Heng, who provided much needed scoring in the 2nd quarter that allowed us to pull away. Jensen and Jinn Wen too contributed well on offense, though Jinn Wen's "efficiency rating" is a bit low (due mainly to 5 TO's!).

Below is the box score for the game.
