UM will be taking part in the Universities-Colleges Basketball League or UCBL, which will kick off this weekend, Sunday night, 30/3/2008 @Berjaya Times Square.
All participating teams including UM will be required to play a short, 10 minute, exhibition game there. Official UCBL competition games will be played later at MABA Stadium, KL. I will post details of game days/times when I have them later.
So far this year, UM has only managed to take part in Carlsberg Open competition. UCBL is therefore critical to UM's preparations for MASUM and is likely the last competition we can take part in before MASUM, which is scheduled for 21-28 May 2008 at UMS, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
UCBL will provide us a very good opportunity to fine tune our 1st/2nd unit combinations, as well as making our defensive and offensive tweaks to take into account the loss of last year's (crucial) players and the addition of this years new players.
We hope Ex-UM players will take this opportunity to drop by and support/encourage our UM players.
