INTI college is not the team with 4 dominant African players (that team is HELP, which we are playing tonight). INTI did however have 2 very tall centers, one rather on the heavy side.
Against INTI, we played an average game only, shooting a very low 29% on FG% with way too many turnovers (27!). A lot of the TO's were "unforced", just our players being careless with the pass or out-of-sync with each other.
However we maintained an excellent pace throughout the game and our sheer speed and relentless pace, coupled with our reliable good defense, very quickly wore INTI down. Although the score was never far apart (the lead was around 5 or 6 points for most of the game), INTI's team spirit was extremely down and they seemed to have given up hope of winning as early as mid-2nd quarter! We were clearly in control of the game and the game tempo.
In our last game (against UTAR), we had 83 shot attempts. In this game against INTI, we increased that to 89 shot attempts. Our goal is to increase that further to closer to 100 shot attempts and to increase our FG% to a more decent % (say 40+%).
Ching as usual with a double-double. Jinn Wen played much, much better in his (now) 2nd game. Min Jia came off the bench to give us critical and extended good minutes when Hau got into foul trouble guarding their much taller center.
